When buying a building, in order to also own the land it stands on, it is necessary to register yourself as a company which then owns the land. It may sound daunting but is a process that our lawyers will tend to on your behalf. They will register your company with the court, tax office and statistics office and settle all lawyer’s and notary’s fees, court taxes and translation services.
Visas
Holders of standard UK passports do not need a visa to visit Bulgaria for a stay of up to 30 days within each 6 month period.

Should you wish to stay long term you can apply for a permit that is valid for one year and renewable annually; after 5 years if you wanted to apply for Bulgarian residence our lawyers can help you with this process.
Viewing Trips
We charge GBP 200 per person or GBP 250 per couple, payable before departure, for 2.5 days to include:
- collection and transport from airport to hotel
- services of our company representative at all times
- viewing of minimum 6 properties
- completion of documents to commence property purchase
You will be responsible for your flights, meals and accommodation & insurance.
Bulgarian Homes will be happy to arrange hotel accommodation for you. This will be around GB 50-100 per double room, not per person, depending on location and personal preferences.
Direct scheduled daily flights are offered by British Airways from Heathrow to Sofia. Prices vary but for midweek flights it is possible to travel for around GBP 200, including taxes. We can assist in booking the flights or you can check out details yourself on www.ba.com.
